Radha Ashtami fast will be celebrated on Friday 6 September 2019. According to Hindu scriptures, this day is celebrated as the incarnation day of Radha Rani. It is believed that Radha ji’s grace is needed to get devotion to Shri Krishna. Worship of Shri Krishna is considered incomplete without worshiping Radha ji. Radha Rani is the presiding goddess of Lord Shri Krishna’s life, so God remains subject to her. She Radhan (means) of all wishes. That is why they are called Shri Radha.
It is believed that if, on this day, worship Radha ji with full devotion and keep a fast, then Lord Krishna will be pleased and we will get desired results. On Radha Ashtami, there are some such measures that can bring you prosperity and happiness in life.
On this day, worship the Radha Krishna idol in the house and do bhajan and kirtan. On the day of Radha Ashtami, do recite Shri Vishnu Sahasranamam. Lord Vishnu and Mother Lakshmi will be pleased only by doing this. Do read the song on this day. By reciting the Gita one gets Shri Krishna’s grace in life. It is better to listen or read Shrimad Bhagwat on this day.
Singing and dancing are considered to be the easiest way to attain devotion to Radha Krishna. So sing devotional songs, dance and dance and paint the entire atmosphere in Krishna Bhakti. On this day, charity is considered to be of the highest importance. You can get Bhandara done today. Donate grains, clothes etc. to any poor or needy. It is believed that by virtue of charity, sins of many births are destroyed and moksha is attained.
